I grew up in Walworth and actually attended Walworth Grade School myself. After graduating from Big Foot High School, I continued on to Beloit College where I played collegiate volleyball. Upon my graduation from Beloit, I moved to Coleman, Wisconsin where I taught 6th grade and coached Varsity Volleyball. After a couple of years in the "North Woods" my husband and I then moved back home and started our family. We currently have 4 little girls that bring so much joy and happiness to our lives! Our family also consists of a dog named Spot (or as the girls call her- Spot the GIRL dog). This year will be my sixth year teaching at Walworth Grade School, but only my 5th in 3rd grade. Last year I taught 4th grade. This year I am very excited as I will only be teaching Math...which means I will have every single 3rd grader! I am also the Varsity Volleyball coach at Big Foot High School. This will be my fifth season as a head coach. My husband, Mr. Dowden, took on a new role again this year and is back teaching Math and coaching football and girls basketball at Big Foot High School.
